Objects represent Swell data that are used to render output in theme templates. This reference describes Liquid objects that are accessible in storefront apps using Swell Liquid for themes, however individual storefront apps like Proxima may differ in how objects or named, or on which pages that are accessible. Refer to documentation on your chosen storefront app for those details.

Model and fields references

The Liquid objects in this guide refer to models and fields that coincide directly with Swell's Backend API. To find descriptions of various object properties listed here, see to the equivalent field in our backend API documentation.

Shopify compatibility

For Shopify themes, this guide will refer to both the Swell object structure and its Shopify equivalent object name, if applicable. Note that when a theme is rendered in Shopify compatibility mode, both Swell object properties, as described here, and Shopify object properties are available at the same time.
